Richard Linnen - Retirement

Congratulations, Richard!

As of May 31, 2022, Brown Edwards principal, Richard Linnen, will be officially retired!

Richard joined Brown Edwards as a partner in 1989 with the acquisition of Bristol, VA firm, Meadows & Associates.

He has over 40 years of professional accounting and tax experience. He has served high-income individuals with their tax and estate planning needs, worked with closely held family businesses on succession planning and assisting them with mergers and acquisitions.

“I have been very blessed to be a part of an organization that is dedicated to quality and to servicing and helping our clients,” says Richard. “I am confident that the structure is in place to carry on the level of service to those clients that I have tried to provide throughout the years.”

Richard enjoys being involved in his local community. He has been a member of the Bristol Rotary Club since 1993 and currently serves as the treasurer of their Rotary Scholarship Fund.

Richard will not be bored in his retirement. He is looking forward to spending more time with his wife, children and five grandchildren. He and his wife are excited to plan some trips to new places and become more involved in activities with their church. Richard is also a huge sports fan, and as an alumnus of the University of Tennessee, he plans to continue to attend as many football and basketball games for as long as he can.

Please join us in congratulating Richard on this wonderful milestone!
