This year, 310 Virginia companies have been ranked on the Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest-growing privately-held companies. Brown Edwards is honored to be included on this list for the first time in its 55 year history.

Inc. Magazine has been producing a list every year since 1982 and, in 2007, expanded the Inc. 500 to the Inc. 5000. The list recognizes the fast-growing privately-held businesses in the United States and ranks companies by their overall revenue growth over a three-year period.

"This prestigious national recognition is a testament to the hard work and collaboration of our team members and our clients. We are excited and honored to be recognized by Inc. for inclusion on the list.”

Jason Hartman, CEO

Being ranked as a top 5000 company in the US is a challenge in any given year, but after the challenges we all were forced to overcome in 2020…that is an accomplishment worth celebrating.

The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.

This recognition joins a growing list of Brown Edwards accolades in the past year:

"We are investing in technology, people and key market expansion to ensure that Brown Edwards stays a leader well into the future."

Laura Sprouse, COO

Our firm has experienced over 50% growth during the 3 years that INC considered, coming from both organic client service expansion and strategic acquisitions in key markets.
