Three Team Members Admitted to the Partnership

Today, it is with great pride that we announce that we have admitted Lisa Reecher, Brittany Quinn, and Danielle Nikolaisen as new partners to the Firm. Throughout their careers, each of these exceptional professionals has demonstrated the commitment, expertise, and leadership necessary to become partners at Brown Edwards.

Lisa brings 20 years of accounting experience to her new role as Process Operations Partner. As the former Director of Tax Operations, she has provided invaluable internal support to our tax teams by participating in projects relating to special firm initiatives. In her expanded role, Lisa will continue to drive operational excellence and process improvements across the firm. Lisa’s experience is not limited to Tax. She has worked in the EBP niche in the past and has led Lean Six Sigma projects for the CAS team, as well as assisting the AA team in implementing Workflow. She brings teamwork, adaptability, communication, efficiency, and process enhancement skills to the partnership.

Lisa earned her B.A. in Economics and Political Science from The University of the South and her Master's in Accounting from East Tennessee State University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants. Her dedication to community service has been recognized through her receipt of the Rotary Paul Harris Fellow award.

When not focused on firm operations, Lisa enjoys running, road trips with her husband and three precious children, as well as reading by the ocean.

Brittany has been a cornerstone of our Roanoke office, bringing over 17 years of public accounting experience across diverse industry niches, including employee benefit plans, manufacturing, dealerships, and electric cooperatives. Her extensive background also includes specialized experience with HUD audits and related compliance work, prior to joining Brown Edwards. What Brittany is best known for is her expertise that encompasses everything EBP!

Brittany has been instrumental in formalizing our Outsourcing processes, including the selection of vendors to support our AA practice. Peers selected Brittany to lead the AA Advisory Committee for the firm.

Brittany earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting and finance from Roanoke College. She is a Certified Public Accountant and active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Society of Accountants for Cooperatives.

Outside the office, Brittany enjoys spending time on the boat at Smith Mountain Lake with her family and dog, Buddy, working with her horse, Rain, and pursuing outdoor activities, including hunting and fishing.

Danielle has been an integral part of our Newport News office since joining the firm, bringing public accounting experience dating back to 2008 with a focus on audit, assurance, and consulting services. Her industry expertise spans the government, not-for-profit, and construction and real estate sectors. Danielle has a passion for delivering exceptional client service and providing efficient solutions to her clients.

Danielle earned her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Christopher Newport University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.

In her personal time, Danielle enjoys riding her horse in both competitive Hunter shows and relaxing trail rides, hiking with her dogs, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

All three new partners are graduates of Brown Edwards' Ignite program, demonstrating the firm's commitment to developing internal talent and leadership capabilities. Their promotions reflect the program's success in identifying and nurturing future firm leaders.
