Congratulations, Brad!

As of May 31, 2023, Brown Edwards' partner, Brad Bailey will be officially retired!

Brad joined Brown Edwards as a partner in January 2020 as part of the acquisition of Gregg & Bailey in Midlothian, VA. He has over 35 years of experience in tax planning, business valuation and investment planning.

He started his career in taxes working with the IRS in Roanoke, Virginia. He moved to Richmond after college and his career in public accounting began in 1986 with BDO Seidman. After a few firms, he joined Gregg & Bailey as a partner. “We believed if we took care of clients and provided excellent service, we would be successful. Our firm was growing so fast we needed help with recruiting, technology, expertise, etc. The Brown Edwards merger was a result of needing the resources of a bigger firm. COVID started 3 months after the merger and we could not have survived without Brown Edwards.”

“I am hoping to enjoy my family and friends and spend more time relaxing and pursuing my hobbies. This will be my next chapter in my life and am still working on what that looks like. I owe so much to my spouse Ginger who has supported me all these years. I will also continue to work with Alliance Wealth Services on clients to help with wealth planning.”

Brad has been a long-time member of the Midlothian Rotary Club and looks forward to having more time to help local Richmond charities. He also recently joined the Board of CA Human Services to help with autism programs in Central Virginia.

In retirement, Brad would like to be more involved with his family. Both his daughters work in public accounting in DC for Deloitte and he wants to be more present in their lives. He’s also talked about playing more golf, fishing, and hiking and taking trips; now he will have the time and energy to do these things. There is also a home project list that has been growing for the past 30 years!

Please join us in congratulating Brad on this wonderful milestone!
