I am from Roanoke, VA and have never ventured to far from home. My family (Brittany (wife), and two daughters, Saylor (6) and Lennon (2)) now live in beautiful Botetourt County.
In my free time I enjoy getting outside and traveling with my family. Most recently I completed a Spartan Trifecta which requires finishing three obstacle course races of varying distances (5K, 10K, and 21K). My family is also big Disney fans and we just recently returned from our 5th family vacation to Disney World.
My wife and I are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary in May of 2025 and traveling to London and Paris to celebrate. We have been to Europe, but have not experienced these two cities.
My most recent read was “To Sell Is Human.” This was a book that was suggested as part of Rainmaker Academy, which is a national business development and leadership program. My favorite books tend to be about history, specifically related to the sports teams that I follow. I really enjoy “The Cubs Way” by Tom Verducci which was written shortly after the Chicago Cubs won the World Series back in 2016.
Superhero name? That’s a tough one. Maybe I should ask my daughters to come up with something… As far as a superpower, it would have to be teleportation. I guess “Doctor Leap” could work for that power. I could save so much time if I didn’t have to worry about the effort it takes to travel from point A to point B.
I love a good cheeseburger with all of the toppings cooked on my Traeger. This isn’t my favorite meal, but a cheeseburger is always an easy go to for me.
After high school I knew a wanted to pursue a career with a lot of stability. As a freshman in college, I took both entry level accounting and finance courses. My dad focused on finance and I felt like I wanted to do something different and set myself apart. I think I have been right so far! I have always seen accounting a puzzle that requires problem solving skills, and not just numbers. I enjoying figuring out what the problem is and providing solutions.
