 Published by [ Laura Sprouse ](https://blog.becpas.com/author/laura-sprouse) on Mar 9, 2020 9:38:24 AM

**Virginia Business** magazine just released its annual publication, The Big Book, which includes a list of the largest CPA firms in Virginia, based on number of CPAs in the Commonwealth. Brown Edwards ranks #6 this year, which is a move up from 2019.  Additionally, Brown Edwards is now the largest firm headquartered in Virginia of those included in The Big Book list.

Brown Edwards CEO Jason Hartman comments, “While we are very proud of our significant growth recently, including our new office locations in Newport News and Richmond, I believe this ranking demonstrates our on-going commitment to our Virginia clients and the communities we serve.”

Brown Edwards has a history of over 50 years of serving in the public accounting sector.  Through the years, the firm has increased to 11 offices across Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee with more than 350 professionals, and is included in **Inside Public Accounting’s** listing of the Top 100 firms in the United States.  Brown Edwards provides traditional auditing, accounting, employee benefit compliance, and taxation services, as well as offers a full array of services to a diverse clientele including contractors, state and local government entities, private education institutions, regional and community financial institutions, healthcare providers, distributors, real estate developers, retailers/wholesalers, and not-for-profit organizations.
