This prestigious recognition comes from the Virginia Talent + Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP), which recently honored 215 organizations across the Commonwealth for their exceptional internship programs.
We believe that investing in internship opportunities is essential for both our company's future and the development of Virginia's talent pipeline. Our program continues to evolve, offering students meaningful professional experiences that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. We have an extensive fall recruiting schedule where we attend career fairs with many Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee colleges and universities with which we’ve partnered to provide their students with internship opportunities. We have also spoken to accounting classes upon request of the institution or the professor and regularly meet with Beta Alpha Psi fraternity members.

We offer two distinct seasonal internship experiences:
Tax Season Internships focus on assisting the firm with tax projects. Interns compile and organize client information using industry-leading tools and prepare returns. There are also opportunities to assist in on-site client engagements alongside experienced team members.
Summer Season Internships concentrate on audit projects. Interns work side-by-side with experienced team members who offer direction, coaching, and learning opportunities. They gain exposure to industry-specific tools and software while developing an understanding of audit methodology. Responsibilities include preparing and documenting workpapers and assisting in preparing financial statements for clients.

Many of our interns return for multiple seasons, steadily building on their skills and experiences, and can take on more complex projects and responsibilities during their subsequent internships. This progressive approach enhances their professional development and strengthens our talent pipeline, with many interns transitioning into full-time associate positions after graduation.
