Brown Edwards is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Roanoke practice of Dixon Hughes Goodman effective February 1, 2017. The DHG Partners and employees located in Roanoke will become part of the Brown Edwards team and substantially all of DHG’s clients will be transferred to Brown Edwards with the exception of several industry clients which will continue to be serviced by DHG.
“This acquisition positions us to provide a greater depth of expertise and resources to serve the needs of our clients and strengthen Brown Edwards’ position as the largest independent certified public accounting firm in our geographic footprint. But more importantly, we are adding well respected partners and staff whom we have worked with over many years. All of us have a similar client centric approach to helping our clients achieve their goals. Bringing the local DHG office to our firm simply brings more resources to the table to accomplish that goal,” says Jason Hartman, Brown Edwards’ Managing Partner.
Brown Edwards provides accounting services to a diverse clientele base throughout Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee. With the addition of the Roanoke Dixon Hughes Goodman practice, Brown Edwards will add significant resources and will increase the size of the Roanoke office to 12 partners and 75 associates.
“Both DHG and Brown Edwards share a strong commitment to our people and our clients. While DHG will no longer maintain an office in Roanoke, we look forward to continuing to serve several clients in the Roanoke area as part of DHG’s national and regional industry focus,” said Gary Thomson, DHG Regional Managing Partner.
